I'm sure there are neater ways to do some of it; perhaps split it up into some more files? Partly done. - Make debian/rules control build the control file without unpacking the sources or applying patches. Currently, it unpacks the sources, patches them, creates the control file, and a subsequent dpkg-buildpackage deletes the sources, re-unpacks them, and re-patches them. This would require hard-coding things like soversions in some places. Is it worth it? - Reorganise debian/rules.defs to decide which packages to build in a more straightforward and less error-prone fashion: (1) start with all languages; override the list of languages depending on the name of the source package (gcc-4.3, gnat-4.3, gdc-4.3). (2) filter the list of languages depending on the target platform; (3) depending on the languages to build, decide on which libraries to build. Now that we build all languages from one source package, should that be changed? Building from separate packages makes building the cross compilers more complicated. o [Ludovic Brenta] Ada - Done: Build both the zero-cost and setjump/longjump exceptions versions of libgnat. In particular, gnat-glade (distributed systems) works best with SJLJ. This is disabled now in GCC 10. - Add support for multilib (not yet supported upstream). * Testsuite - Only run libgo/x32, if the kernel is prepared to execute the x32 executables. - PR target/94278: segfaults running the amdgcn target tools, based on LLVM 9 and LLVM 10. https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45887 - Investigate regressions for test failures, seen when turning on the hardening flags by default. - Fix gm2 link errors when running the tests. - Fix asan test errors in g++. Seen when run locally, e.g. alloca_big_alignment.c ==1453818==ASan runtime does not come first in initial library list; you should either link runtime to your application or manually preload it with LD_PRELOAD. - libstdc++ locale related test failures with recent glibc versions: https://gcc.gnu.org/PR71367 Save
